The challenge

Aura Aerial Systems—a leader in autonomous inspection and cinematography drones—had a "specs vs. story" problem. Their previous website was a dense spreadsheet of technical data (battery life, rotors, payload) that failed to capture the awe-inspiring capabilities of their hardware.

The primary roadblocks were:

Static Product Presentation: Users couldn't "feel" the drone's movement or see the world through its lens.
Low Lead Quality: The site attracted hobbyists rather than the high-value industrial and film production clients they targeted.
Technical Friction: Large 4K flight footage was slowing down the site, hurting SEO and causing mobile users to drop off before seeing the product in action.

The solution

Using the Aura Design System, I pivoted the brand from "hardware manufacturer" to "aerospace innovator." The goal was to create a high-octane, immersive experience that mirrored the precision of flight.

Immersive Video Integration: I implemented scroll-synced video backgrounds that allow users to "pilot" the page, transitioning from ground-level shots to high-altitude sweeps as they scroll.

Interactive Spec Comparison: Instead of static tables, I built a "Hangar" section where users can toggle between drone models (Aura Pro vs. Aura Stealth) to see real-time shifts in performance metrics.

"The View from Above" Gallery: A high-performance CMS-driven masonry grid showcased 8K footage and thermal imaging samples, proving the hardware's value through visual evidence.

Optimized Performance: I utilized Framer’s advanced asset optimization to ensure that heavy video content loaded instantly, maintaining a "fly-by" speed for the user experience.
